The Alon Family Foundation was established in 1995 by Zvi Alon.

It is based in Silicon Valley California and managed jointly by Ricki and Zvi Alon, Co-Trustees.

Since its foundation, we have contributed over 10 million dollars to support various causes. Our approach is giving smaller grants to a larger number of organizations. By doing so, we maximize the outreach of our impact. The areas of our preferred emphasis is education and health care. 

The plan moving forward: In order to have a more significant impact and to be able to support more causes, we would like to increase the available financial resources through fundraising activities. Approaching individuals and organizations, domestic and international to join us in our efforts to help others in need.

Ricki Alon

Ricki was born in Jerusalem, Israel and came to the United States initially to study at UCLA.

She co-founded RIMI System Integrations in 1980 in Los Angeles. As the CEO of RIMI, Ricki managed and ran the operation, which had multiple locations in California. RIMI developed, designed and installed high-end security systems, home entertainment, networking and smart home automation for residential and commercial properties. 

In 1990, RIMI established joint ventures with five governments in Eastern Europe, bringing Israeli wireless technology in the security field to a total of 60 cities in Hungary, Latvia, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Russia. The company expanded its international activities to distribution in Mexico and South America until it was sold in 2009.

Ricki remained professionally active, as a Managing Director of Alon Ventures, a private investment company focusing on Real Estate as well as Clean Tech and Alternative Energy.

Since 1990, Ricki devoted much of her time to the philanthropic activities. Ricki is the Co-Trustee of the Alon Family Foundation and continues to serve on various Boards of nonprofit organizations, engaged in fundraising for local and international causes. Ricki’s priority is to help bring lasting impact through education. She has been a member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University for the last 3 decades and serves on its executive board in the USA.

Zvi Alon

Zvi is a son of Holocaust survivors. He received a degree of EE from The Technion- Israel’s leading Institute of Technology in 1979.

A successful high tech executive based in the silicon valley with extensive (30 years) international business experience, Serveing as Tigo Energy Chairman and CEO. Zvi served as Chairman, CEO and President positions in a number of companies. The founder of several companies 2 of which made the public market – IPO – NetManage in the US; and NetVision in Israel. Most of his investments activities have been focused in the US, Israel and China with worldwide customers.

Zvi Alon is the Founder and Chairman of the California Israel Chamber of Commerce – CICC. Zvi Alon is also a founder of the California Israel Angels – CIA. The CIA investment focus is driven by opportunities that combine activities in both California and Israel.

Zvi Alon serves as a Vice Chairman for one of the leading universities in Israel – Ben Gurion University, known for advance research in Green Technology, Desertification, Clean Energy, Medical and advance Nano Technology.

Zvi Alon is also well known for his philanthropic efforts in the Bay Area, California and in Israel. In 1995 he established The Alon Family Foundation for the purpose of directing energies and resources toward improving the quality of life through charitable organizations. Specifically, contributions have been made in the fields of education and Health Care.
